Fighter Interview: Ishana Moores Team Bristol UK

19 Sep 2014

The Bristol Open team recently caught up with the young up and coming female talent Ishana Moores to hear her thoughts on this years open. Ishana is local bristol fighter that is working her way through the ranks of the domestic and now international circuits. She has recently returned from representing WAKO GB at the recent junior World Championships and has the Bristol Open on her list of goals for the coming period.

How many times have you competed at the Bristol Open?

I have competed at the Bristol Open 5 times and every single year the competition has grown and the standard has got higher and higher. I have managed to win my division at the last two Opens.

What do you think of the event in comparison to other events you have competed at in the UK?

In other UK events, I often fight the same people over and over but at the Bristol Open there are loads of national and international fighters in every category, so theres always a great fighting experience available. I love the tag teams event too which not many UK events have.

What fighters are you looking forward to watch at this years open?

Im looking forward to watching Robbie Lavoie fight because were both small fighters and its really useful seeing what techniques he uses to deal with bigger opponents. I’m also looking forward to watching the tag team finals and my Team Bristol team mates fight.
